Deutsches Eck:    Koblenz, Germany

The point of land formed at the confluence of the Mosel river with the Rhine is known as the "Deutsches Eck" or "German Corner". In 1897 a monument of Emperor Wilhelm I on his horse was erected and the corner became associated with that monument. The statue was destroyed during WWII and was only replaced by a copy in 1993 thanks to a donation by a local couple.
